Military Medal At POZIERES, FRANCE, from 15th. to 22nd. August 1916, Sergeant ELLIOTT was engaged for six consecutive nights on constructive work in the 1st and 3rd Brigade fronts near the quarry and MOUQUET FARM. He was remarkably cool under heavy enemy shelling and his example and encouragement to the men in his parties contributed in a great degree to the successful work of construction. During the whole period he was engaged on this work he had only one night off duty. On the 22nd. August he suffered from the concussion of a bursting shell but refused to leave his work
