Admitted to 6th Australian Field Ambulance, 26 September 1917 (not yet diagnosed: blown up); transferred same day to 3rd Canadian Casualty Clearing Station (classified as shell shock); to 26th General Hospital, Etaples, 29 September 1917; to No 6 Convalescent Depot, Etaples, 7 October 1917; to Base Depot, Havre, 3 December 1917.

Admitted to 39th General Hospital, Havre, 18 December 1917; discharged to duty, 6 February 1918; total period of treatment for venereal disease, gonorrhoea: 51 days.

Rejoined Bn, in the field, 20 February 1918.
