Sick to Group Hospital (influenza), 19 February 1917; admitted to 1st Military Hospital, Sutton Veny, 20 February 1917; to 4th Southern General Hospital, Plymouth, 8 March 1917; to 1st Auxiliary Hospital, Harefield (valvular disease of the heart) , 3 May 1917; discharged to No 2 Command Depot, Weymouth, 21 May 1917. Found guilty, 6 August 1917, of overstaying leave from 11:00pm until 11:30pm: awarded 3 days confined to barracks.
