Military Medal 'Corporal EMERY, was one of the Pioneer working Party under Lieutenant REID, between BUIRE and DERNANCOURT, on 5th April, 1918, during a severe enemy attack displayed great bravery, and very gallant conduct, and was a splendid example to the men in his vicinity and continued so until he was wounded, in the afternoon.'
