'For good service and devotion to duty in the theatre of war from 26th February, 1917 to 20th September, 1917, particularly during the active operations of NOREUIL, April, 1917 - BULLECOURT April 1917 - and MESSINES June, 1917. As Warrant Officer, General Duties, his work has been continuous, resulting in the efficient performance of their duties by all his junior ranks. He has shown remarkable energy and ability on all occasions. Awarded Military Medal during operations at MOUQUET FARM, September, 1916.'
