Medals |
Military Medal 'During the operations of 29th and 30th September and 1st October this man exhibited bravery beyond the average. While his company was in support at one stage of the advance he bandaged wounded men of the artillery under heavy shell fire. At a later stage, when one of our tanks was hit by a shell, he went into the tank, regardless of the danger from exploding shells and ammunition and rescued one of the crew, who was wounded. His coolness throughout the whole operations was of a very high standard.'
