Medals |
Military Medal 'For conspicuous gallantry during an enemy attack on 15th April against NOREUIL. He was a Company Runner, and as such, when the situation on the right flank was most critical and the position was under direct enemy enfilade Machine Gun and rifle fire, he carried messages backwards and forwards twice from Company Headquarters to the threatened flank, thus assisting greatly in the handling of the Company resisting a strong enemy flank attack. His coolness under very trying conditions was a great example to all who saw him.'
