Found guilty, 14 May 1917, of (1) being absent from Picquet, 5.00 pm, 12 May 1917, to 8.00 pm, 12 May 1917; (2) conduct to the prejudice of good order and military discipline for being in Heliopolis, Egypt, without a pass, 12 May 1917; forfeited a total of 2 days’ pay.

Admitted to No 2 Australian Stationary Hospital, Moasca, Egypt, 14 December 1917 (haemorrhoids); to Rest Camp, Port Said, Egypt, 30 December 1917; marched out 13 January 1918.

Found guilty, 8 February 1918, of conduct to the prejudice of good order and military discipline and for keeping his guard without permission, 6 December 1917; forfeited 14 days’ pay.

Commenced return to Australia, from Egypt, on board HT ‘Burma’, 26 July 1919; disembarked, 1 September 1919; discharged, 25 October 1919 (medically unfit: malaria).
