Disembarked Suez, 16 January 1918. Embarked Port Said, 24 January 1918; disembarked Taranto, Italy, 2 February 1918. Entrained Taranto, 5 February 1918; detrained Cherbourg, France, 12 February 1918; embarked for England, 12 February 1918; disembarked Southampton, 13 February 1918. Marched into Pioneer Training Bn, 13 February 1918; transferred to 4th Pioneer Bn, 20 May 1918.

Proceeded overseas to France, 29 July 1918; taken on strength, 4th Pioneer Bn, 8 August 1918.

Detached to Chatlenean Railway Station Loading Party, 20 February 1919; rejoined Pioneer Bn, 13 March 1919. Attached to Graves Registration Detachment, 25 March 1919. Found guilty, 28 May 1919, of disobeying a lawful command given by a Superior Officer: awarded forfeiture of 2 days' pay. Detached to 4th Pioneer Bn, and marched out for return to Australia, 19 August 1919.

Commenced return to Australia on board HT 'Devon', 8 October 1919; disembarked Melbourne, 27 November 1919; discharged, 28 December 1919.
