Medals |
Military Medal On 8 August 1918, daring the operations on the Somme, east of Hamel, Private Ferguson rendered valuable assistance as a runner, carrying and delivering many messages through enemy shell fire and machine-gun fire, and over bad ground, without hesitation. The success which the platoon had in reaching the objective without being disorganised in spite of the dense fog and the bad ground was chiefly due to Private Ferguson for the manner in which he assisted his platoon commander.
