War service: Egypt Embarked (did not join Mediterranean Expeditionary Force), 20 September 1915. Found guilty, 25 November 1915, for (1) creating a disturbance and using insulting language; (2) committing a nuisance: sentenced to 168 hours' Field Punishment No. 2, forfeited 1 day's pay. Found guilty, 11 February 1916, of (1) Absence from a parade to proceed on active service; (2) breaking camp on 4 February 1916 and remaining absent until 10 February 1916: awarded 28 days' detention and forfeited 8 days' pay. Embarked, Suez, for return to Australia under authority of the GOC Australian and New Zealand Forces, 19 March 1916, discharged (undesirable), Brisbane, 24 April 1916. Medals: none |
