War service: Western Front Embarked Melbourne, 20 May 1916; disembarked Plymouth, England, 18 July 1916. Proceeded to France through Southampton with 23rd Field Artillery Brigade, 31 December 1916. Transferred to 7th Field Artillery Brigade and taken on strength, 6 January 1917; proceeded on leave to England, 13 July 1918; rejoined unit from leave, 30 July 1918. Wounded in action, 15 September 1918 (remained at duty); moved in from the field, 5 March 1919. Embarked Havre and proceeded to England, 17 March 1919; disembarked Weymouth, 18 March 1919, and marched into 2nd Training Brigade, Codford.
