Form B103 states: 'Presumed buried in No Man's Land at approx. 5J90.43 to 5K 0 2.51 Sheet Hazebrouck 5H'.

Statement, Red Cross File No 200306 , 3086 Pte W.E. LYONS, 59th Bn (patient, King George Hospital, Stamford Street, London, England), 10 October 1916: 'Informant states that on July 19/16 he saw Pte. Baker lying dead on (sic) No Man's Land. He was killed in the charge on that day.'

Second statement, [?] 3025 Sergeant CALLANAN, 59th Bn, 17 December 1916: 'I knew him well and I have a faint recollection of his being buried at Rifle Valley. We signallers and the pioneers (sic) were a good bit together and I am pretty well sure I heard them say that they buried them there.'
