Admitted to hospital due to illness, 4 November 1916; transferred to 4th General Hospital, 7 November 1916 (trench feet). Embarked Havre on HS 'Panama' and proceeded to England for further treatment, 10 November 1916; admitted to 1st Southern General Hospital, Birmingham, 12 November 1916; transferred to 2nd Auxiliary Hospital, Southall, 13 December 1916; discharged on furlough, 16 December 1916. Marched into No 1 Command Depot, Perham Downs, 4 January 1917 (classified B.1a).
