Admitted to 36th Casualty Clearing Station, 11 December 1916 (gastritis); transferred to 12th General Hospital, Rouen, 14 December 1916; to England, 29 December 1916, and admitted to Voluntary Aid Hospital, Cheltenham Area, 31 December 1916. Transferred to 2nd Auxiliary Hospital, Southall, 9 March 1917; discharged on furlough, 9 March 1917, to report to No 2 Command Depot, Weymouth, 24 March 1917.
