Military Medal 'For bravery and devotion to duty at MOLENAARELSTHOEK on the light of 28th/29th September, 1917. This N.C.O. was in charge of a patrol which located a small hostile group in a pill box. By the skilful handling of his patrol he succeeded in driving the enemy out of the pill box and secured one slightly wounded German whom he brought back to our lines.'
