Military Medal 'On the night of 14th/15th May a number of wounded were lying unattended to in the neighbourhood of Noreuil. In spite of a heavy barrage of H.E. and gas shells, this N.C.O., with the greatest coolness and courage, went to their help. he assisted in adjusting gas masks and dressings and helped to carry the wounded to a place of safety. Throughout he was subjected to a continuous shower of shells and his gallant conduct was certainly a big factor in the saving of the lives of those whom he assisted.'
