Military Medal 'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty during operations against enemy positions south of the SOMME east of HAMEL, on 8th August, 1918. With only two men Sergeant McLENNAN rushed an active enemy post of the western edge of ACCROCHE WOOD and succeeded in the capture of 2 machine guns and 20 prisoners. He successfully led his party through the WOOD despite the dense fog, and displayed great courage and initiative throughout the advance. He rendered valuable assistance in the reorganisation of his Company and in the consolidation.'
