'At daylight on the 20th June, 1918, near STRAZEELE, the enemy were seen to carry a Machine Gun into a shelter 25 yards from our posts. Lance Corporal MILLER, with Private VANCE, crawled out and succeeded in reaching the shelter and throwing a bomb in, though under persistent fire from snipers, they succeeded in capturing a Machine Gun and two prisoners. His courage and devotion to duty was of the highest.
