Tried by Field General Court Martial, 21 October 1917. Found Guilty of Absent without Leave, 4-7 October 1917. Awarded 50 days' Field Punishment No 2. Tried by District Court Martial, 5 February 1918. Found Guilty of Absent without Leave, 14 December 1917-12 January 1918. Sentenced to 35 days' detention.
