'For continuous good service and devotion to duty. Sergeant PHILLIPS has been Battalion Orderly Room Sergeant since July, 1916, during which period he has carried out his duties with untiring energy and in an excellent manner. On several occasions, owing to casualties, Sergeant PHILLIPS has had to carry out the clerical duties of Assistant Adjutant, which he has performed satisfactorily. The efficient state of the records of this Battalion is largely due to Sergeant PHILLIPS' zeal and keenness in his work.'
