Proceeded overseas to France, 16 September 1916; taken on strength, 29th Bn, in the field, 1 October 1916. Admitted to 39th Casualty Clearing Station, 4 January 1917 (mumps); transferred to No 2 Stationary Hospital, Rouen, 7 January 1917; to No 2 Convalescent Depot, 24 January 1917; to 5th Australian Division Base Depot, Etaples, 8 February 1917; rejoined Bn, in the field, 14 February 1917. Detached to Signalling School, 20 February 1917; rejoined Bn, 27 February 1917.
