Found guilty, 14 November 1915, of a serious breach of discipline, viz. placing refuse on parade ground: awarded 2 days' Field Punishment No 2.

Admitted to 6th Field Ambulance, 23 November 1915 (diptheria); transferred by HS 'Karapara' to Malta, 3 December 1915; admitted to Military Hospital, Intarfa, 4 December 1915.

Transferred from St Peter's Hospital to HT 'Megantic', 4 March 1916 (malaria) for transfer to Egypt.

Taken on strength, 59th Bn, Ferry Post, 4 April 1916.

Transferred to 57th Bn, 4 April 1916.

Transferred to 59th Bn, 29 May 1916.

Embarked Alexandria to join the British Expeditionary Force, 18 June 1916; disembarked Marseilles, France, 29 June 1916.

Found guilty, 7 July 1916, of 'Being a soldier on Active Service [he] disobeyed a Regimental Order in that he on 1/7/16 did leave the troop train at Amiens without permission': awarded 5 days' Field Punishment No 2.

Posted missing, 19 July 1916.

Court of Enquiry, held in the field, 29 August 1917, pronounced fate as 'Killed in Action, 19 July 1916'.
