Other detailsMarried May Hudell and migrated from England in 1912, sailing on the SS Devon. Served in France and Belgium. Was wounded in battle by a sniper's bullet which entered the neck region and exploded blowing out his left lung. Was hospitalised in England and months later shipped back to Australia.
