Military Medal 'At POZIERES, FRANCE, 22nd. August 1916. After being under severe shell fire for several hours a shell put the remaining members of his gun detachment out of action. Lance Corporal BROOME dressed their wounds, got stretcher bearers for them, and then returned to his gun, which he put, and kept, in action during the remainder of the bombardment. During the whole action he displayed great gallantry.'
