Distinguished Conduct Medal 'For conspicuous gallantry on 10 August, 1918, between Vauvillers and Lihons. This non-commissioned officer took command of the platoon, and pushed forward under heavy machine gun fire to the attack, reaching the objective and successfully consolidating.'
