Admitted to No 2 Field Amulance, Tel el Kebir, 22 January 1916 (bronchitis); transferred to A&NZ convalescent Depot, Helouan, 2 February 1916; discharged to duty, 16 February 1916.

Admitted to No 2 Australian General Hospital, 21 February 1916; transferred to No 3 Australian General Hospital, Heliopolis, 25 February 1916; condition listed as 'dangerously ill', 25 March 1916.

Died of anaemia, 29 March 1916.
