Found guilty, 28 January 1916, of ill-treating a native on the line of march, 24 January 1916: awarded 14 days' Field Punishment No 2.

Statement, Red Cross File No 1040701, 3714 Pte W. CORRIN, 59th Bn, 2 November 1917: 'I saw Casualty killed by H.E. Shell just before the "Hop Over" at Fleurbaix on the 19th July whilst in the trench. His back was smashed by the shell.'
