Military Medal

'For conspicuous devotion to duty during the operations at BROODSEINDE RIDGE east of YPRES on 3rd to 6th Octobrer, 1917. Pte. TUCKER as Company Runner continually carried important messages to Battalion Headquarters and forward positions. At such times he had to pass and return through heavy shell and constant machine gun fire. This was especially the case when going to the forward positions. He carried all messages both day and night quickly and in not one instance did he fail to return with an answer.'
